[October Update] Waiting is the Worst, Spoilers and Gudnak heads to the desert

Hey Gudnak Gamers!
We feel it too. The “refresh-your-inbox-and-hope-for-shipping-notifications” phase is real.
Waiting is the Worst
Status: Manufacturing is ending and logistics are moving. We are in that awkward quiet before things are aboard a ship and the countdown can truly begin.
Next: We will provide an updated estimate as soon as it’s more than 90% real. We kept taking educated guesses, kept being wrong and kept not learning our lesson in the past updates, so the next date you see from us will be because the product is on its way to you.
Address updates: Before product heads to your door, you will get an email from Quartermaster Logistics asking you to confirm your address. That is the only way you can update your address now, as the data we’ve sent to Quartermaster is locked and only they can update it.
Refunds: We are no longer able to process refunds as product is now headed to you. We can do our best facilitate returns once product gets to your door.
We will share concrete dates the moment they are solid. In the meantime, thank you for your patience and your hype. It matters.
Spoilers: While We Wait
With all this time waiting, let’s get good at sneaking and peaking. We sent out a few of these over on Discord, but I think it’s high (seas) time to meet more of our seafaring friends the Khorsari.
Let’s go over the basics of how to recruit your very own crew.
First, you need crewmates. Luckily, you can include these basic fighters in any deck. So if you want a splash of spicy seafaring swagger in your deck, look no further than these scallywags.
But how does one find this bunch of briny brutes? Luckily they are not hard to find, because they likely hang out at the local watering hole – the Rowdy Tavern.
And they are probably making some noise. Lucky for us, that noise sometimes turns into a fun Sea Shanty! And when these folks start singing, it makes them work even while fatigued.
Next, you’re going to want to give these intoxicated folks some explosives. We’ve got you covered:
Not large enough? You salty scoundrel! Ok fine let's get them some even LARGER EXPLOSIVES!!
Lastly, we can’t forget to bring an officer corps to…keep order? Idk at this point it seems like you just want a bunch of drunk dudes singing in the midset of explosives.
So what say you? Sail the high seas? Stay home and sing shanties? Either way, it's sure to shake thing up in your Gudnak games!
Gudnak heads to the desert
Next year, Gudnak rolls into Zarrukh, the golden desert city of trade, mathematics, and holy-smokes-is-that-statue-moving machines called Mehkina. Here’s a little preview of what we've found within the walls of this gleaming monument to commerce.
There are delightful little critters called Mehklets that scurry around, helping the nobles of Zarrukh avoid tedious tasks like bending over to grab more wine.
Then, they are the lumbering Mehkina, devestating machines of war protecting the goods of the City of Gold. They come in many forms, like from the basic Brute
to mighty heroic mahcines:

It’s been a wild few weeks and the Gudnak world domination plan is going super smoothly.
Fulfillment & Shipping News Coming Soon We know this is the update you’re most eager for and first want to say – We're sorry that this is taking longer than expected.
Manufacturing is nearing the final stages and we’re waiting on coordination between the factories and freight companies. This puts September and possibly October out of the picture due to the current delays with global freight.

Big month for Chaotic Great. Let’s get right into it!!!!
Production Update Rewards are moving through manufacturing! Sleeves and playmats are done. Cards are being printed, boxes are being built, and the finish line is in sight.
Addresses are now locked, so if you missed the deadline make sure to bribe your mail carrier with snacks. Or email us!
Our book! Gudnak Means War officially hit the streets at GenCon and we loved seeing the reactions to it. One Jerry Holkins was even approached by a fan who had only heard of him from this book!
If you've read the book, you'll know that Jerry's story is about The Pupil. But did you know thats just A pupil? Pupils of the Engineer walk many paths. Some of those paths are druidic, natural. Others? Quite a bit more…sinister.
Hero Spoiler – The Pupil Perhaps you'd like to weild the power of The Pupil!? We've got great news for you! The Pupil excels at manipulating attachments. Her Refined Formula ability gives folks a double dose…whether they need it or not.
Wait…Rotborn? Attachments? But I thought that was an Auroxi thing…

Production Update
Production is moving albeit slower than anyone wants it to!
We're printing 100s of cards, 4 different game boxes, 4 playmats, 2 comics and a variety of beautiful sleeves! It's a lot. It's still looking like September is the best estimate for shipping.
Also - we dropped a few spoilers at the end of the email to wet your gryff-beaks!
Gen Con
We'll be attending Gen Con – both to sell books and play GUDNAK!
A Tournament by the People, For the People Our first-ever player-run tournament is happening at Gen Con, thanks to DOA., who has created a FREAKING TROPHY!
The Book The Gudnak anthology is in our hands and it looks incredible. The first ever public sale will be at the booths of some of our authors: Christopher D. Schmitz, Erik Scott de Bie and Jeri "Red" Shepherd!
We might even be at their booths with one or maybe even more than one SHARPIE.
SO if enough of you comment on this post asking for them, we’ll put some of these bloodthirsty hell hounds (plush version) up for sale. Maybe on the website!

Hey there Gudnakers,
We're cruising through production milestones over here and finally have enough time for some honest-to-goodness fun updates. If you haven't been checking the discord, you should! We've been busy building a player locator, our community just wrapped up a sweet online tournament and there's even a project going on designing a Gudnak themed micro ttrpg!
Team Member Spotlight: Farski!
If you've ever been to a convention where CG has been exhibiting, there’s a good chance you’ve met Farski — our resident king of demos. He’s been repping Gudnak since the very beginning, traveling the country to teach folks how to sling the squares on the 3x3.
Fun facts:
He and Tim met in Cub Scouts. His pinewood derby cars are the stuff of legend.
He’s one of the geniuses behind decks.gudnak.com, our deckbuilding site. If there is a bug there, it was Pete. Otherwise, Farski built it.
Meet the Fellgryff and the Gryffhound – corrupted genetic cousins of Gudnak’s noble beasts. These twisted hybrids are darker, meaner versions of the classic Gryffhound and Bullgryff, and they’re bringing their signature less-than-friendly demeanor to the board in the Marvorren expansion.
Things get TRULY WILD when you pair them with Head of Hybrids, the Refractory Hero 3 from the upcoming set. With this in play, each Bullgryff and Gryffdog you control gains the ability of each other Bullgryff and Gryffdog.
This type of synergy is sure to make Refractory players drool and/or…whatever birds do. Idk hybridization is weird.
